Legumes
(Enlarge)Our favorite legumes are string beans, both the pole variety and bush beans.
We also grow peas and even soybeans and fava beans, though not as much as string beans.
A bonus is that legumes fix nitrogen, so they're good for the soil and a wonderful ingredient in our compost pile when they're done producing.
